Sunao Sawaboshi (爽星 素直 Sawaboshi Sunao) is a Seikou Private school student and a former member of the group, "Popular Five". Following her personality being revealed to the school, she has now become a member of the Reject Five.

Biography

Appearance

Sunao is a young girl with a pair of brown eyes and long, glossy black hair that is braided into three portions, tying the end of it with a small white ribbon. Near the end of Volume 7, she cuts her hair into the shoulder-length. So far, she has only seen wearing the standard girl's uniform.

Personality

While Sunao is shown to be a sweet, innocent and beautiful girl when she makes her first appearance. However, this is later revealed to be a façade to hide her true nature, as found out by Kanade Amakusa. She tends to look down on others or by other means, underestimate them and has a foul mouth. The students of Seikou Private School later found out about this hidden behavior in the midst of the event to choose the Reject Five and the Popular ranking, resulting in her becoming a member of the "Reject Five".

Etymology

• The name Sunao means "elementary, principle, naked, uncovered" (素) (su) and "straight" or "cure" (直) (nao).
• Sunao's surname Sawaboshi means "refreshing, bracing, resonant, sweet, clear" (爽) (sawa) and "star" (星) (hoshi/boshi).
